Illness Affects Villagers After Meteorite Strike

A Peruvian village nearby a recent meteorite strike is suffering from a mysterious illness. It appears that around the area of the strike there is a strange odor which may be causing vomiting and headaches. Most likely there is some chemical/geological interaction going on with the intense heat of the impact.
