This is what happens when the Association of American Geographers lets anyone present at their annual conference without any sort of review. This is also what happens when geography is lost as a discipline in academia.

What are your thoughts on Yi-Fu Tuan? I'm reading "Romantic Geography" right now.
Dr. Tuan is the natural reaction against the heresy which was quantitative geography's claim that if it was not quantifiable it was not geography. He made some good points but I think he goes too far outside of geography for all his work to be considered geography (but they can be thought of as geographical)
