Out in western Nebraska, not to far from the life giving Platte River and the rest stop of Ash Hollow are wagon ruts from the Oregon Trail. The ruts are on private property and are near rancher motor vehicle tracks in the foreground. The marks left by hard working historical emigrant Overlanders and present-day local ranchers compliment the tough physical terrain of the region.
